(upbeat music) Edward Senna. Good morning, Your Honor.
Good morning, sir. Mr. Senna, you’re charged with parking in a prohibited area. You had a parking violation. Yeah, it was Father’s Day and my wife picked up food from Public Street. And she left the car like, not even 10 minutes. We did send the parking ticket by mail, I even have a picture of it in here, dated and everything. I sent it June 18th. I even drop it off, because I work at night, I dropped it off in the mailbox. Waited and waited, nothing came out in our bank account. But as far as I know, it was $30. Then I received a notice. You sent the check in for $30? Yeah, cause I never had a parking ticket for the last 30 years.
Okay. But I received this notice and it’s $90 now. This is a parking ticket on Public Street, it’s parking in a prohibited area, at 5:41 in the evening. You indicate that you sent in the $30. Yeah, because, okay. And the check has never been cashed. And because the city has taken the position that the ticket has not been paid, the ticket now has gone from 30 to 90. So you’re saying to me, “I paid the $30, now they want 90 plus the 30 I already paid.” So the question is whether I believe you, and I believe you. This is the only parking ticket you ever received in Providence, cause I have your record. Who is this with you? My son. What’s your name, son? Alexander. What is it? Alexander. Alexander. How old are you, Alexander? Nine. Nine?
Yes. Come up here. What do you wanna be when you get older? A pianist and an engineer and a programmer. (crowd murmuring) Your future is secure, he’s gonna support you. He’s gonna be a pianist, he’s gonna be an engineer and a programmer. Now, when you become an engineer, you wanna build big bridges, big buildings? No, I just want to build new machines that could reverse aging or at least stop aging. Well you better stay very close to me, I could use that. (laughing) You have a very bright young man, here. Yeah, he started reading when he was two years old. When he was two, he started reading? Yes. Well, he wants to reverse aging. And he’s already starting algebra right now. Well, he’ll be the most popular guy in the world if he can reduce aging, right? Well, don’t give up that pursuit, that’s a wonderful thing to even try to do, okay? Okay. Is your father guilty or not guilty? Not guilty? (laughing) Wait, wait, wait, he’s not guilty because of what reason? I think it’s… Because he paid the ticket already? I think. He said to me he paid the ticket. Now, is he telling the truth? Yes. Yes, okay, well that solves it. So he says you’re truthful. (chuckles) You have an unbelievable young man here. Thank you. If you could do anything in the world right now, what would you wanna do? I would want to get some cardboard and then build my prototype for the reverse aging machine. And if you had one wish for the world, what would that be? Probably immortality. And peace in the world? Yeah. Okay, I agree with that, shake hands. You got a bright future.
