Although the past 9 years of professional Dota 2 have certainly had their share of memorable plays, there are certain instances that stand out above the rest. Many factors determine what makes a moment truly iconic, but but perhaps the most important one is the casting. The sheer hype that a caster generates can often be enough to make a moment last an eternity. Several moments stand testament to this fact in Dota 2’s history ODPixel’s RAP Marathon, Tobi’s “No one has ever done that!” and LD’s “Waow!”. However perhaps the most recent and most iconic catchphrase in the history of Dota 2 came out from two dedicated casters who were relatively unknown in the mainstream Dota 2 community until they uttered four magical words. Later they would form MineskiTV to become the go-to esports casters in the Philippines in 2013, and primarily began broadcasting MET Events as well as any other Dota 2 tournament they could get their hands on. After years of toil and hardwork, Lon and Dunoo finally made it to the holy grail of Dota 2 – ‘The International’. The veteran Filipino shoutcasters were invited by Valve to cast the main event of TI6 bringing the magic of Filipino Shoutcasting to the International. It was a memorable TI for Lon and Dunoo, as they made their debut and witnessed what was was possibly the biggest upset in TI history, A mamoth effort but it paid off Filipino duo were shoutcasting at ESL One Katowice 2018 where Fnatic were on the brink of losing. And then, the magic happened.
