The History of Web Development and Design

Hi I’m Elora Murray at Fusion 360 Studios
reporting for the Fusion 360 News Network. Today we are giving you a little history lesson
on web development and design.Let’s start in 1989 when web design was really, non-existent.Then
in the early 1990’s text-based sites were created by HTML.During this time, single -column sites looked like text documents. In 1995, tables allowed for multiple columns and improved layout and
design. Also, JavaScript added dimension to Web pages
through layering. In 1996, Flash gave designers freedom to design layouts, animations, shapes
and fonts in one tool.During this time animated text, scrolling text, GIF images, intro animations
and interactive effects ruled the web. Then, in 1998 CSS separated design from content
making design easier and more uniform. When the early 2000’s rolled around JavaScript
began to rule the web. Also, user-created content became more prevalent through journals, profiles
and photo collections. In 2007, the 960 grid system and 12-column division improved mobile
web browsing. Also, frequently-used elements such as buttons, forms and navigation were
streamlined for mobile.Between 2008 and 2009 interactive content, especially content that
changes without a refresh became extremely popular.
Also, design focused on content publication and social websites. Responsive web design was born between 2010 and 2015. During this time flat design that simplified websites
and returned emphasis to content became popular. Currently, minimalism that highlights beautiful typography
is popular. That’s it for our history lesson today. Once again, I’m Elora Murray and thanks for joining us at the Fusion 360 News Network. Have a great day.

  • Cool! could be more precise, even a bit longer with examples though. 🙂

  • Examples are missing.

  • The web is an intriguing spot, where nothing represents an extremely lengthy time-frame. Information is persistently changing and procedures we use to deal with that information will dependably create alongside it. CSS in JavaScript is a noteworthy move in how we create applications. HTML is content, CSS is what it looks like and JavaScript is what it does.

Anyways, read the below. This might help.
