Did anyone notice that James Stewart is always grumpy as shit in his movies?
Whoa. I don't usually catch one of these videos 6min after they're uploaded.
Yay, I'm finally here before 1K views!
YES! I was so hoping you guys would cover this story! This just made my day!
Best feel good movie of all time
There's like eight people saying "First".
Such a wonderful movie and such a pleasant 9 minutes. Thanks for sharing
I'm not crying your crying.
Love this series. Thanks for covering its a wonderful life.
The sequences during the book parts are looking better than ever, keep up the good work! Oh, and Merry Christmas! When it actually comes, that is. P.S. Can ‘Planet of the Apes’/‘La Planète des singes’ be next, please?
Please do "Misery" by Stephen King next!
Count this on the list of movies I had no idea were books first. Luckily, they have it at my local library and it's only 64 pages, so I can squeeze it into my Christmas reading this month.
Surprised you didn't include the South Park rendition of It's A Wonderful Life: "You just can't buy people, Mr. Potter. Why, you know what you are? You're a little bitch. That's right, you're a bitch, and I bet you'd like to suck it, wouldn't you?"
Please do the hobbit and/or The Godfather
"Oh Mary no, not the books!"
Great line 🙂
Thanks. But, guys.
Now I Have a Machine Gun HO-HO-HO!
I’m 34th. It’s a miracle!
one of my favortie films period, always look forward to seeing it every year
So its like the adaptation of shawshank, except with less prison violence and more old music.
my brother in law hates this movie but i love it
Can you look at all 3 Berserk Anime movies and look at the berserk manga and see what's the difference💀🔪👻👹
Love this channel keep it up 👍👍👍
I've never seen that movie.
Please do The Stand
I'm #38 ! 😨I've lost track of how many times I've watch this movie. I'm glad the brushes were 'real'. 👻🖑
Look daddy, every time a bell rings, an angel get his wings. That’s right. Merry Christmas
Book Clarence looks like Joe Hill.

Merry Christmas, Cinefix!(Even if it's only November)
This is literally my favorite movie of all time! Thanks for this Cinefix ♥️
have you guys done "A Christmas Story" yet?
You should talk about a Christmas Story for the next What's The Difference.
Christmas before thanksgiving? Tut tut tut
It's been so long since you did a good movie
Wow really good
Mise en scene
It still gets me teary-eyed every Christmas Eve.
Sorry, Clint. You sound more like Cagney than Stewart. 8>)
Welp that's me crying again… one of the most devastatingly emotional films and something everyone should watch every Christmas
She became… an old maid!
Really thought you meant Buffalo Wings when the note was first brought up
There’s actually a deleted scene with Mr Potter showing up on the Bailey’s doorstep during the ending, intending to return the $800 but too embarrassed and upset about his own life in comparison to George’s to knock on the door and instead turns away.
It's so wonderful to see how this Christmas classic emotionally and uniquely told this story. Keep it up!
I love this movie
"Merry Christmas, everyone"November 20th
Did not know this was a book!
New homemade Godzilla king of the monsters trailer
honestly it sounds like the movie made all the right changes since the book is so short kind of how the people that made The Box did it
Such a good movie
Most iconic Christmas film
could you PLEASE do TREASURE ISLAND?
Everytime you guys do a movie I didnt know was a book, it's like a happy little surprise in my feed!
Im not crying. You're crying.
You should take a look at Scott Pilgrim vs the World
I got my teenage daughter to watch it by telling her, "You'll love it. It's about suicide!"
And then at the end we were both like… well yeah… but his life was awesome! WTF!?!?
Lmao. I just bought a 43 inch Vizio 4k HDR TV last week….moved on up from a 22 inch TV.
Ima check this movie out on Christmas
Mary as a spinster and a nerd was considered to be the wooooorse than being married to an abuser.
Absolutely the only problem I have with this delightful movie, one I adore and watch every danged year, is the one hole they left… not Mr. Potter, no. The failure of his life is obvious. He won’t live much longer and he wasted his life. Didn’t even enjoy his riches.
No, the problem to me is that everything in the finish gives you hope except the end message… no man is a failure who has friends. Because some people are lonely and feel they have no friends or no real friends, and here comes Christmas and a heart-warming Christmas movie, and the person who may just be in a bad place for now might decide the movie is right, they’re a failure. Ideally they recognize their power to affect the world for good but everyone has their bad periods and I wonder if that message has done harm from time to time.
What a boring choice
I love these videos please make them more often! 😭
You didn't mention the alternate ending which shows the townsfolk of Bedford Falls forming a mob later that evening, marching through the streets with torches, crazed with indignation, and believing themselves fully justified in getting their revenge against Mr. Potter after they discovered the truth about the $8,000 he stole, and how he tried to have George put in jail for it. They left that part out because they thought it looked too much like the end of the movie Frankenstein, which came out 15 years prior.
I think this line from Princess and the Frog sums up George's life pretty well: Tiana:
My daddy never did get what he wanted. But he had what he needed. He had love! He never lost sight of what was really important. And neither will I!
George never got to travel and fulfill his dreams, but he had everything he needed in his hometown. That makes him a richer man than Potter, because he understood the value of helping others and enriching other people's lives with love.
Honestly kudos to stock photo fedora guy
Seems the film is way more fleshed out and additions like Potter and the missing money add a lot to the plot.
my favorite movie of all time
So 803 angels got their wings
Have you done World War Z yet?
“Suicide is a terrible and illegal thing”Looks like I’m about to break the law 😎
Leave, George Bailey alone he didn't attack anybody, he was attacked, and he's not a drunkard either, you take that back?!🤭"I wouldn't have a roof over my head, if it wasn't for you George!"(?)🙂 It's a wonderful Life one of my favorite movies everrr…💖
Thank you. I just learned something interesting.
She had to wear glasses? SICKENING!!!
Unpopular Opinion: I really don't care for this movie. In fact, it REALLY wouldn't surprise me if the urban legend is true: the only reason its a Christmas "classic" is because NBC needed filler material to broadcast on Christmas and IAWL had entered the public domain so they could broadcast it without having to pay anyone for the rights.
So many differences clamped in less than 9 minutes.
I loved everything I learned in this video being Brazilian and having seen the film only at 23 years of age over here.
Love that damn film.
I'm gonna say it "I'm a sucker for girls that wear glasses"
An exception. The film’s better than the book.
One other thing: in the original edition, the character of George was named George Pratt. After the movie came out, all subsequent editions went with the better known movie name of Bailey.
How come you guys won't do a what's the difference on Stephen King's Misery?!? I asking you guys for months !?! 🙏🏻🎥📕
One thing you forgot. In the story Mary has a son who is playing with a cap pistol. The boy eventually turns the pistol on George asking him why he won't die.
What no boom bonus thing you dident know😊
I feel like this should've been turned into a "Top 10 Holiday Movies" movie list
Best Christmas movie ever. It’s actually aged pretty well too
Wait … its still November you hacks 🙂 p.s. Marry Christmas to you too!
Great film. This video only slides to the Dickensian origin. Shares many similarities with Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" which must have been a huge influence on Frank Capra & his writing team. George Bailey is a version of Ebenezer Scrooge.
Its been a while since a whats the difference.
And if Jimmy Stewart's just incredibly brilliant performance seems more real then acting, that's not far wrong….https://www.chicagotribune.com/entertainment/movies/ct-jimmy-stewart-book-mov-1202-20161201-column.html
What's the difference more like you didnt finish the walking dead series yet
Wait a minute, close to Buffalo, Nick, ringing the cash register bell, giving out wings? If George had stayed nonexistent, could this have been the origin of Buffalo Wings?!
For those that wonder, this movie takes place in 1946 and that makes the 8K he needs roughly 100K in today's money
George and Mary's son, Petey, must have been named after George's dead father.I wonder where they got Tommy, Janie and Zuzu (I'm assuming Zuzu is really Susan in the same way that Beaver Cleaver is really Theodore but his older brother couldn't pronounce it or how many people I've met have younger siblings with nicknames that sound like how a small child would say their name)Susan's Greetings!
Sounds like there's nothing in the book.
