How to clear history, cache and cookies on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch — Apple Support

Protecting your privacy
is easy with Safari. Let’s get started. First, tap Settings. Then, tap Safari. Tap Clear History
and Website Data. This removes the list
of websites you’ve visited. When there’s no history
or website data to clear, this setting will turn gray. The setting might also be gray if restrictions are set
for websites. Then, tap Clear History
and Data to confirm. Other devices using iCloud
to sync Safari data will be cleared as well. Blocking cookies
can ensure more privacy. Cookies are bits of data
that sites use to identify you. Safari already uses
intelligent tracking prevention to block non-essential cookies, but you can block all cookies
by tapping Block All Cookies. Then, confirm. Just a heads-up, some sites need cookies
to function properly. In the future,
if you want to visit sites without leaving a history, you can turn on
Private Browsing. To do this, tap Safari. Then, tap the tabs icon in the bottom-right corner
of your screen. Tap Private. Then, tap Done. And now you deserve
a real cookie! For more helpful tips like this, subscribe to
the Apple Support channel, or click another video
to keep watching now. ♪ Music playing ♪ ♪
