Watch the Oscar-winning documentary feature #FreeSolo, playing across select cinemas across India starting April 12th.
I've climbed El Cap a few times, including the Salathe Wall which is most of the route he climbed, and the thought of doing it unroped doesn't fit in my brain. There is nothing to put it next to.
In the movie every thing is great, he is named as the best free solo person in the world. But things just go down hill once he gets a girlfriend. It's are really sad story once he breaks his back, then she leaves him for his producer Jimmy Chin.
I made it almost through the trailer. I don't have enough Xanax to attempt the movie.
It's high time the world got honest about adrenaline junkies. The truth is they are addicts! They chose this selfish dangerous life ,yet the consequences of their choice affects others.I'm tempted to feel sorry for the girlfriend, but in truth she's also going along with the lie
my honor to the cameraman
MISSION:UNBELIEVABLE ,UNIMAGINABLE,UNCONQUERABLE ….
where i can see this whole movie ?
Please dont do it again bro..you have prove everything…ur the best in the entire universe…
I guess the reason why such people love what they do is because one feels alive when facing death.Whereas we ordinary people are walking through this live totally numb never having to fear anything.
AGUANTE EL EDO CAROE CONCHETUMARE
My hands are sweating like crazy
Some game developer should totally make a VR free solo game with all climbs like El Cap laser scanned. Let us mere mortals get a taste of what Alex experiences!
Who’s here after amy polers free solo rant?😆
Guy = best rock climber ever probably. Personality = big baby with an equally emotionless gf. “You don’t care about me, if I perish you’ll find someone else😩😒” How do you say ‘Jump!’ in French?

Fighting for the people scared of heights
Check out the hilarious mockumentary SOLO FREED. Right here on YouTube.
I'm a risk taker too, but even I can't swallow this. Sure, he could free solo and do it over and over "successfully," but doing this long term is way too dangerous. Look at the people who have free solo a lot and died eventually. He's just setting a bad example on others.
I watched the movie … WOW!
Dude must have had like 20 high-level enduring elixirs with him.
I thought this was about Han Solo's imprisonment.
I made the mistake of not knowing if he made it before I watched it in IMAX and was on the edge of my seat every second

HOLD MY HARNESS!
I love outdoor sport and seen this Is like take a drip pill at the roof of skyscraper with winds of 32km/h… Wow I need to see this!
This is the end. How fitting.
Worst part was his gold digger of a girl friend weighing him down, and using him for the fame.
One of my all time favorite movies. Simply incredible!!!
People say u can't do stuff like this cause I'm a girl…😳 idek if I should keep going. I do love climbing tho!!!!!❤
How does he do it with the weight of his balls
I admire his spirit in it all… knowledgeable, concentrated, excellent, detached from all but focus on the task… "The secret of self-mastery is self-forgetfulness." ~ Shoghi Effendi, Baha'i Faith
My palms got sweaty watching this 😮
I saw this twice in the theaters and only after my second time could I put words to the feelings I had from watching it. The first time I was shaking, tears streaming down my face during the entire climb. After getting back to my car I sat in silence with my brother for a good 10 minutes. There are no superlatives that describe what we just witnessed. It goes so far beyond words…..
The second time I saw it, watching the climb it came to me why I couldn't find words to put to what I felt. There are none. What you witness (bear with me here, it's about to go existential, so if that's not your thing keep scrolling, lol) is a glimpse at Alex's soul. It's not him your watching climb, but everything he is. It's an act of such purity, beauty, and joy that it transcends the physical and mental. It's ineffable and one of the most moving things I've ever experienced. Some of you might dismiss me as a weirdo, or whatever, lol, and that's fine. To those of you who felt what I did, and do, you'll understand completely.
"In Theatres this fall"
Why is it giving me chills?
Just watched twice, great documentary!!!! The real spiderman.
Seems to be good
Read about Jason Wells and Tim Klein first before you all go and eww and awe over Honnold the Clown performing his death-defying Dumbo the Clown act over some sponsor $$ and his little 15 mins of fame. 🤔You're just dumb son. Dumb as a bucket of bricks. 😑
Basically, he drops his balls on the top of the mountain then he is climbing to get them back 😉
I took a shower before watching…..and another after….uff that was intense 🙂
I once had the privilege of shaking Alex's hand. He kept my hand.
I can't even LOOK at el cap without clenching cheeks
Who’s here after Disney+ launch?
Doubt very much that he'll die of old age, I watched the movie and quite honestly found parts of it terrifying,
What's the music in the trailer???????? Help please.
I don't know who is more stupid, that climber.. or the people saying he is a hero. Heroes save lives; this guy saved no one. He values more a "high sensation" than his own safety. In his eyes, an intense emotion is worth more than his family's mental peace. Someone who distresses their loved ones like that doesn't deserve all that media attention. Two climbers have died in 2019, in part thanks to this "hero".
The filmakers are also irresponsable. Had they do that if the free soloist were a child of theirs?
He died last wednesday
He died today from a fall. RIP Brad
This video makes me wanna eat chalk for a snack
I can barely climb up the stairs without getting tired
Fere Solo 向人類極限中的極限、挑戰不可能中的不可能！但、艾力克斯 讓人類的不可能….''成為可能！真的只有神….'才能辦到的！
I admire people who can do stuff like this. I truly wish I could do regular rope climbing. I fear falling too much I think although I've never tried it. It's hard enough for me to climb 50 feet up a tree in my back yard to put up a ham antenna inverted V line without getting a little worried. I watch the entire documentary last night and LOVED it. So much respect for this guy. I'm also a fan of Ninja Warrior and I was thinking Alex should, no joke, go do Ninja Warrior next year, kill it, make an easy million dollars. His upper body, legs, foot strength would be unparalleled (Drew Drechsel esque). The first Ninja Warrior was a rock climber (Isaac Caldiero) and they typically do really well. P.s. To the film crew who video'd it all, those guys were incredible and super respectful of this climb as well. Mad props.
Here he is climbing El Cap no problem, meanwhile I can barely climb a flight of stairs. 😂
His girl tries talking him out of it everyday.
I was freaking impressed by this feat of courage and fearlessness…..that boi reptilian!!!
best movie ever!!!! i cry huhuhu
I could do this no problem 👍🏻 just give me 10 pints and a vindaloo
Watching this got me into indoor climbing
Watched The dawn wall recently. It's this is anywhere near as good, I'll be happy.
Alex is badass. I’ve always been extremely amazed with Alain too. Just watching this makes your blood pressure go up. Of all the sports that exist, this is as good as it gets. Kind of reminds you of a tightrope walk across a super high canyon or manned mission to Mars. They don’t know if they’ll make it there. It’s do or die kind of thing. And then don’t know if they’ll even return. That’s the same kind of feeling watching this. It’s so specialized that only a hand full of people do it. Totally amazing!!
I’m calling it: this will NEVER be repeated by another human being. The combination of sheer talent, tenacity, ambition, opportunity and fearlessness I don’t think will ever come together quite like this again.
Amy Poehler brought me here
I can't even watch the trailer without my hands and feet sweating
I couldn't even make it to the end of the trailer. LOL!! Not a fan of heights.
Just a thought. I'm guessing everyone that does this might be an enneagram 3? Driven to achieve? I guess I need to watch it first to make a better guess, but it makes me sick with fear. I do want to know why though(I'm a 5, and I have to know), so I'm definitely watching it.
I watched this movie in 2019 8 Jan and it's on my list of favourites movies in 2020
An absolute great film wow!!!!!!!!!!!!
