Fixing the HP DeskJet 2600 All-in-One Printer When It Does Not Pick Up Paper | HP DeskJet | HP

Fix your HP DeskJet 2600 series printer when a Load Paper message displays, the Error and Paper Error icons and the Resume light are on, and the printer does not pick up or feed paper even with paper loaded. Poor paper quality or incorrectly loaded paper can cause the printer to not pick up or feed paper. Remove all paper and possible obstructions from the input tray, including torn or wrinkled paper and any foreign objects. Lift the input tray shield, and with the assistance of a flashlight, check inside the input tray area for any obstructions. Examine the paper you removed from the input tray, and remove any pieces that are bent, wrinkled, torn, or a different size or type. Fan the stack of paper, and then load it into the input tray. Slide in the paper width guide until it stops at the edge of the paper. Try to print a document. If the error persists, continue to the next
step. Dust and debris on the paper pick rollers
can cause paper pickup and feed problems. Cleaning the rollers and resetting the printer can help resolve these issues. Clean the paper pick rollers using a long, lint-free cotton swab and distilled or bottled water. With the printer still on, go to the rear
and disconnect any cables. Then unplug the power cord from its power source. You must disconnect the printer power cord from its power source to avoid injury or damaging the printer. Remove all paper from the input tray. Lift and hold the input tray shield. With the assistance of a flashlight, look
inside the printer and find the gray paper pick rollers. Dampen a cotton swab with water, and then squeeze it to remove any excess. Clean both rollers with the cotton swab to
remove any buildup or debris. Rotate each roller as you finish cleaning
a section to clean the entire roller. Lower the input tray shield, and let the rollers dry for ten minutes. Plug the power cord back into its power source, and then reconnect the power cord and any other cables to the printer. The printer turns on automatically. Load paper into the input tray and adjust
the guide. Try to print a document again. If the error persists, continue to the next
step. If the issue continues, service the printer. Contact HP for service and warranty options.

  • how to reset ink lever for deskjet 2676 after we refill the ink

  • Worst model printer I have ever made the mistake of purchasing. Constant failure to feed from day one. Sadly if you're watching this video my suggestion probably comes too late – but definitely do not buy this paper weight.

  • 100% JUNK.. I HATE THIS PIECE OF S###

  • I HAVE BEEN BUYING HP PRODUCT SINCE HP STARTED MANUFACTURING, LAPTOP COMPUTERS PRINTERS EVERYTHING HP, I BOUGHT THIS ONE ALSO HP DESK JET 2600 PRINTER….

AND I PROMISE I WILL NEVER BUY HP IN MY LIFE. EVEN IF SOMEBODY GIFT, I WILL RETURN BACK
    WITH THANK YOU.

HP HUGE PROBLEM HUGE PAIN HEAVY PAIN HONESTLY PATHETIC +++++++++

  • Worst printer ever 🙁 🙁 🙁 Will never buy HP products again…

  • Crap printer, used it twice until it stopped printing lol

  • I hate printers!!! This has been flashing orange for about a week now and I'm ready to fix it before I throw it out the window lol. Funniest part? It tells me there is no paper, but it will quickly suck in a sheet of paper and spit it right out the other side but refuse to print anything. there clearly isn't a paper issue here if it can do that!!

  • This printer is so depressing. Better don't make it wireless if we always have to adjust the feed one after another.

  • worst printer experience ever…. just bought this model and after three prints showing paper jam…. although there is no paper in it. tried all possible options…. literally want to throw out of window…. HP this is not expected from your side………………….

  • I agree! This printer sucks! I will never purchase an HP printer again! HP should be ashamed of themselves!

  • I was just about to return this printer then this video fixed my issue hopefully I don't have any further problems

  • I'm going to buy a different printer. HP sells junk now. 🙁

  • Why does the printer require me to login to my Microsoft account in order to print ?

  • This printer is absolutely horrible. I am a highschool student so it is crucial to be able to print assignments if i am typing a project out or was absent and need to print missing sheets. It gives me constant problems and requires me to log into the printer as if it matters if someone else gets into it. Horrible waste of money. If i wasnt so low on cash id go buy a new printer instead of watching this video so i can print out my damn assignment.

  • The worst printer I have ever seen.

  • Worst printer I have ever used. If you can get it to print a page either through WiFi or wired connection is about a 1 in a 100 chance. Useless junk of a thing waste of money.

  • Worst printer i've ever bought. printer keeps spitting out 20 sheets before printing the one i want. have spent 4 hours resetting it, uninstalling and reinstalling it, running diagnostics, stopping and starting printing spool. cleaning it, clearing the print log, and still it spits out 3 sheets before printing. have been on the HP website, done everything it recommended, and still its faulty. next on my list is to take it outside and smash it up. { then recycle all the broken bits, as im environmentally friendly } lol. Total waste of money. Will NEVER buy HP again.

  • Only thing that worked for me was to download a driver for the printer from the internet and use a wired usb connection from the laptop to the printer. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a wireless printer but at least I can print now….

  • Printer stopped working today. Didn't expect this from HP. Did all the steps mentioed but to no avail. Worst printer experience ever
