EBSCO: Saving a Search

Welcome to the HS/HSL’s Ebsco Saving a Search
tutorial. This tutorial will demonstrate how to save a search from within any Ebsco databases
and this includes CINAHL, PsycINFO SocINDEX and others. In order to save searches you
will need an Ebsco personal account, which is free. And for help setting this up view
our other tutorial, Ebsco: Creating a Personal Account. For this tutorial I’ll demonstrate
saving a search in the CINAHL database. I have already run a simple search and would
like to save my search history. What you’ll need to do is place a check in the box next
to the search that you would like to save. Click on the Save Searches or Alerts link.
And if you’re not already logged into your Ebsco account you’ll be prompted to do so.
You can then give your search a name. And I generally leave all of the default settings
a they are. And then I’ll just click the Save button. Next, click continue. So you can see
the search that I just saved. To get back to the main screen click on back, the back
link. My search has now been saved and I can retrieve it any time I log into my personal
account. This concludes our tutorial but if you’d like to learn other useful features
of your Ebsco personal account please view our other tutorials. If you need further assistance
