– [Katie] This is Katie B.
with Somerville Academy. This February, we saw Black History Month, which started out as a way to honor and celebrate the accomplishments of black Americans in
every area of history. The thing is, black history IS history. So while we celebrated this February, we’re also going to keep going into March, and April, and forever. Most traditional education
ends black history in the 1960s with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the civil rights movement. The thing is, there are amazing people writing
today’s history right now. So, here are 15 scientists, activists, and creatives to learn from, work
with, and be inspired by. (upbeat music) (upbeat music) (upbeat music) (upbeat music) (upbeat music)
